Bring the right people to the table. Provide them with the tools they need. Trust the wisdom of the group in the decisions they make.

You most likely have the wisdom you need already within your organization or among those you serve, and only lack the tools or processes necessary to collect it, refine it and develop a strategy for implementation.

Sometimes this means that those at the table are not in agreement, and may even have some animosity or distrust. Don’t be afraid of conflict or new ideas. Experience has shown us that when a group has some conflict, they are actually getting at the heart of the matter, and therefore, will find solutions to the very issues that concern them most
